The Congress 'VIII International Days on Dinosaur Paleontology and its Environment' will be held from September 5 to 7 in Salas de los Infantes, organized by the Archaeological and Paleontological Collective of this Burgos town.

This is the only specialized conference on dinosaurs on a periodic basis in Spain, so it is an event of enormous scientific importance to which we must add that twenty years have passed that year, the organization reported Friday.

Spanish and international speakers of recognized prestige will participate as in previous editions, as well as the possibility of proposing scientific communications on the part of the assistants about different investigations related to this world.

There will also be thirty scientific communications from the main dinosaur research teams in Spain, and also from different countries.

Martin Sander, who leads a line of research in which new technologies applied to paleontology are used in the knowledge of anatomical characteristics and studies on the mobility and functionality of the skeleton of fossil vertebrates, stand out from the list of speakers.

On the other hand, Steve Brusatte, who has recently published an informative book entitled 'Rise and fall of dinosaurs', disseminated in dozens of countries.

On Wednesday, September 4, a tasting of craft beers has been scheduled, and on Saturday, 7 a field trip with a geological / historical-artistic approach to the region of Pinares and the Laguna Negra de Neila.

In addition, in the idea that this type of action reaches everyone, activities for the general public have been scheduled. Among them, a concert by the group 'Sweet Baby James', on day 4 at the El Pozo pub; On Friday 6, in the auditorium theater of Salas de los Infantes, a concert by the band 'Swing Machine Orchestra' will take place.
